This course prepares students to engage in competent social work generalist practice. Students explore skills needed for effective communication and problem solving for all levels of social work practice, as well as content related to social work ethics and values, diversity, and social change. The course also covers knowledge of human behavior and the social environment, person-in-environment, and other multidisciplinary theoretical frameworks in interventions with clients and constituencies.
