Catalog description

A broad introduction to the study of exercise science and the subdisciplines within the field of exercise prescription. Students will explore the scope of knowledge for professionals in this field and the basic subdisciplines including biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor behavior, sport and exercise psychology, and physical activity epidemiology. The course will also introduce students to various professional subdisciplines including strength and conditioning, nutrition, sport science, medicine, and allied health careers.
