This course introduces programming by focusing on data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms, with an emphasis on the concept of an object and the importance of an object-oriented paradigm. Students also survey programming languages and learn the distinction between interpreted and compiled languages.Prerequisites: CISM 215 Information Technology Applications II and MATH 120 College Algebra with a grade of "C" or better.
