Catalog description

This course provides the student with a foundation to understanding the science of genomics and its implications for nursing practice. Professional responsibilities of recognizing one's own values and beliefs and advocating for client access to services and resources are examined. Incorporation of new genetic/genomic technologies and knowledge into professional nursing practice through assessment, identification, referral, and client education and support will be explored.
