Catalog description

Children enter the judicial system in many ways. They may be the victims of the perpetrators of crime, the subjects of custody battles, or children in need of care and protection. They may have experienced the terror of abuse or anticipated the joy of adoption. Students in this course explore the nature of the rights of juveniles and examine the courts' attempts to identify and act in their best interests. Prerequisite: LEG2004.
