Catalog description
This course introduces the anatomical, biomechanical, and kinesiological principles of the trunk and lower extremities. Emphasis is placed on muscle function, joint movement, posture, gait analysis, and common pathologies. The cardiovascular and lymphatic systems are also introduced in relation to movement and clinical practice. Students develop foundational skills in manual muscle testing, goniometry, body mechanics, basic transfers, gait training with assistive devices, and initial documentation.
