Introduction to Geology

Catalog description

This course covers geological processes that shape the earth and its history. The course emphasizes global geological phenomena (earthquakes, volcanoes, plate tectonics), the concept of "deep" time, climate change, natural resources, and the interaction between humans and their environment. One field trip is required.
