Catalog description

This course introduces students to the foundations of visual effects and compositing in the animation, games, and VFX industries. Students focus on topics including dynamic simulation, procedural modeling, match moving, and blue/green screen compositing. Real-time effects, rigid/soft body dynamics, collision, constraints, and particle systems are also covered. Students learn how to study and evaluate the real world and implement their observations into computer-generated visual effects within different production pipelines.
