This course is an introduction to computational techniques to address current biological problems. The course focuses on DNA, RNA, and protein sequence analysis. Students predict protein structure, analyze data from biological databases, apply genome annotation methods, build phylogenetic trees from sequence data, and predict gene function based on molecular data.
