This course introduces the subject of archaeology through the study of concepts, theories, and methods employed by archaeologists to reconstruct past life ways. Topics include the nature of scientific inquiry and archaeological research; field methods; data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation; cultural resource management; professional ethics; and an examination of cultural adaptations and change.
