Catalog description

This hands-on course teaches students to use oxy-fuel and plasma arc cutting systems safely and effectively. Topics include manual and mechanized cutting, piercing, beveling, and cutting out complex shapes. Students will also cover cutting safety, gas setup, and shut down, tip selection, and basic maintenance procedures. Lecture 2 hours and Laboratory 3 hours per week.
