Catalog description
This course introduces the student to the fundamentals of heating. Topics covered in lecture/lab include theory and concepts for residential and light commercial gas heating, oil heating, electric heating, heat pumps and hydronic heating. Other Heating Fundamental topics include installation techniques, planned maintenance, and troubleshooting of various heating systems and their components. Lecture 3 hours and Laboratory 9 hours per week. Pre / Co - requisite: HVAC 1122 Intro to HVAC/R with a grade of "C" or better.
