Catalog description

This course introduces the principles and applications of renewable energy systems with an emphasis on solar photovoltaic (PV) technology. Students will examine the fundamentals of solar energy conversion, electrical concepts, and PV system components while also exploring other renewable sources such as wind, hydro, geothermal, and bioenergy. Students will also gain hands-on experience with solar module wiring, power output testing, and small-scale renewable energy demonstrations. Pre-requisite ENGR-1024. Lecture 2 hours and Laboratory 6 hours per week.
