Emergency Med Tech

Catalog description

The EMT course is an introductory study of the existing medical emergency services and the basic principles, procedures, and techniques of emergency care. The course follows the national Standard Curriculum Guidelines as set forth by the Department of Transportation. Upon successful completion of this course, the EMT candidate will meet the requirements to challenge the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification exam. Corequisite(s): EMS-1003. Lecture 5 lecture hours per week.
