Catalog description

This introductory course is for both majors and nonmajors in the life sciences. The course covers the major developments and generalizations of biology, with emphasis on the origin of life, cellular organization and function, cellular energy transformation, Mendelian and molecular genetics, general and human reproduction and embryology and evolution. Lecture four hours, laboratory three hours per week. (1) This course applies to the IAI General Education Core Curriculum Life Science package. (2) This course applies to one or more IAI majors.
