Catalog description
Beginning ABE is intended for students in NRS levels 1 and 2. The course will focus upon developing communicative skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, with an additional focus on social studies content. Students in ABE 020 are presented with a variety of tasks for academic and career readiness, including research, writing and presenting essays, and reading and interpreting a variety of texts. Additionally, vocabulary and workplace skills will be emphasized.
