Catalog description

This course provides a foundational understanding of electricity and the essential principles necessary for servicing and repairing electric and hybrid vehicles. Students will learn the theory and operation of various EV systems, including battery technology, electric drive systems, and charging infrastructure, with an emphasis on the various components related to these systems. The course also covers the tools and equipment used in electric vehicle maintenance and repair, with a strong focus on safety protocols for working with high-voltage systems. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory experiences, students will be well-prepared for advanced training in EV diagnostics and repairs within the evolving electric vehicle industry.
