Catalog description

This course will focus on algebraic expressions, performing algebraic operations, solving equations, formulas and inequalities. The following topics are also covered: linear and quadratic functions, their graphs and applications; exponential and logarithmic functions and their applications; and other functions and their applications. Prerequisite: Placement as determined by high school mathematics background, SAT/ACT scores, or a math placement assessment, or SSC 113 or MAT 111. (F, S)
