Catalog description

This course surveys the current landscape of healthcare policy that includes the e Evolution of the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (PPPACA) and its impact on the delivery of health care in the US. Students evaluate the influence of policy on vulnerable populations as concepts of health disparities, health equity, and social determinants of health are analyzed. The application of ethical principles to interactive case studies provides students with opportunities to explore various decision-making models.
