Catalog description

This course assists students in understanding human resources as a fundamental aspect of healthcare administration. Students will survey specific topics related to workforce management such as recruitment and retention strategies, union organization and membership, the regulatory and legal environment, physician employment and compensation, and disciplinary practices involving innovative approaches. Students analyze conflict management models and problem-solving techniques. The growing use of technology in human resource management is examined. Students consider diversity and inclusion initiatives that address current emphasis in the workplace.
