Catalog description

This course is designed to prepare students for a successful and fulfilling career in the diverse and evolving field of biology. Through a combination of lectures, interactive workshops, guest speakers, and practical assignments, students will explore a wide range of career paths available to biology graduates. Students will develop essential professional skills such as resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, networking strategies, and effective communication tailored to scientific careers. The course will also cover graduate school preparation, funding opportunities, and strategies for building a competitive application. Emphasis will be placed on self-assessment, goal setting, and aligning personal values and strengths with career choices.
