Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in MUS122 or instructor consent ^ This course builds on one's foundational steelband skills through the performance of intermediate and advanced level repertoire drawn from calypso, soca, reggae, and popular music. Students will refine their technical and ensemble abilities, explore improvisation and stylistic interpretation, and gain a broader understanding of the cultural roots and evolution of the steelband.
