Prerequisite: Reading: Grade of C or better in RDG 091 or LTC 099, or satisfaction of other placement criteria. Writing: Grade of C or better in ENG 098 or LTC 099 or satisfaction of other placement criteria. ^ An introduction to rock and roll, the course examines the birth of rock and roll in the 1950s through the end of the millennium. The course will explore the contributing genres of country music and rhythm & blues, while examining the spread of rock and roll across racial and cultural divides.
