Catalog description

Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in JPN 102; two years of H.S. Japanese with grade of C or better; two semesters of Japanese in college with a grade of C or better. ^ Intermediate Japanese I is the third level of our sequence designed for students with elementary knowledge of Japanese. The course is built on a framework established of National Standards. The class uses a communicative approach to engage students in the learning process. The focus is to keep improving students overall ability to understand and use the language accurately and appropriately, and demonstrate understanding of contemporary Japanese life and culture.
