Catalog description

Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in IMT-112 or consent of instructor. ^ This advanced course builds upon fundamental measurement principles with a focus on precision dimensional inspection and modern metrology tools. Topics include surface finish analysis, optical measurement, coordinate measuring machines (CMM) programming, GD&T applications, non-contact laser systems, and statistical process control (SPC). Emphasis is placed on hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment, inspection planning, and data reporting to meet manufacturing and quality assurance standards.
