Catalog description

Prerequisite: None ^ This course introduces students to fundamental measurement principles, precision instruments, and inspection techniques used in manufacturing and machining. Topics include linear and angular measurement, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, gage blocks, and basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Emphasis is placed on hands-on lab exercises to develop practical skills in measuring and verifying parts according to engineering drawings and industry standards.(1.2) Proficiency Credit Available (3 LETSIR) Pass/No Credit Available
