Study of the digestion, absorption and metabolism of nutrients and the digestive system. Study of health consequences of nutrition practices. Study of food sources and proper dietary selection needed to fulfill human needs. Survey of nutrition for all life stages, nutrition related disorders and strategies to achieve optimal health.
