<p><span style="color: #0000ff;">GENERAL EDUCATION ELECTIVE</span></p> <h3><span style="color: #993300;"><em>PRE-NURSING STUDENTS ONLY IN THIS COURSE</em></span></h3> An alternative to CNA certification as a requirement for admission to the nursing program. This course is meant to introduce the student into the nurse's role in various healthcare settings, and instruct them on basic knowledge and skills that will help them interact with patient populations and be successful in nursing programs. Each class date has both a classroom and a skills lab/practice component. Completion of this course will NOT allow the student to sit for the CNA exam.
