<p><span style="color: #0000ff;">GENERAL EDUCATION ELECTIVE</span></p> This course will provide an overview of what are arguably the most spectacular vertebrate animals to ever live on the planet, dinosaurs! Students will learn how the sciences of paleontology and geology developed and how they are used to derive knowledge about animals not available to study in living form today. It is hoped that the studies performed in this class will allow students to appreciate the biological diversity possible in the natural world and to understand how evolutionary mechanisms can contribute to biological diversity.
