<p><span style="color: #0000ff;">GENERAL EDUCATION ELECTIVE</span></p> This course is an introduction to the engineering profession and its various fields, including current job opportunities. The course covers the history and ethics of engineering, its principles and applications, an introduction to problem solving, and the engineering design process. The curriculum may include one or more field trips to local industry, as well as invited speakers to share their perspectives on the life and career of an engineer. It is a required first course for all engineering majors.
