<h3><span style="color: #993300;"><em>MUST BE IN THE REGISTERED NURSING PROGRAM TO TAKE THIS COURSE</em></span></h3> This course is a bridge course designed for current practicing LPN's to continue the study of human diseases and disorders in adulthood and geriatric health care that were not covered in their LPN education. With this course, students will build upon their knowledge acquired as an LPN as they explore common to complex medical-surgical disorders utilizing the nursing process to understand the etiology, clinical manifestations, diagnostic tests, treatments, and nursing interventions of multiple body systems. This course will help LPNs recognize and apply understanding of the changes in their new scope of practice as it relates to their role change as an RN. There is a clinical/simulation component to this class.
