Catalog description

In this course, we will cover key foundations of psychological phenomena related to political ideology on both an individual and global level. Topics covered include political identity, ideology, moral reasoning, voting behavior, international relations, and the role of culture. This course is designed as a curated overview of Political Psychology as its own discipline, familiarizing students with some of the debates in the field and introducing them to material not encountered elsewhere, opening up new lines of inquiry and providing inspiration for future research. Prerequisite: PSY 1100
