Catalog description

An introduction to ethical theory in Western philosophy followed by an investigation of the communal, institutional, social policy, and global dimensions of healthcare. Through community engagement, students practice civic professionalism and gain first-hand exposure to the ways in which existing social structures impact access and equity, especially for vulnerable populations. This course only satisfies the CORE requirement when offered as a service learning course.
