Catalog description

All secondary teachers share the responsibility of helping students develop the literacy skills that they will need to further their education. Participants taking this course will learn how to support literacy in their specific content areas, with emphasis on academic language abilities, critical thinking, and twenty-first century skills. Concurrently, candidates participate in fieldwork experiences to apply their developing understandings of teaching and learning.
