Catalog description

This first half of a year-long laboratory required for BFA Musical Theatre Performance seniors, it builds on skills from Musical Theatre Workshop I & II. The multidisciplinary curriculum integrates MT advanced dance styles, vocal techniques, historical research, and performance, featuring individual projects, solos, and ensemble work. Students lead voice and dance teaching demonstrations, explore evolving theatre practices with a focus on equality, expand their audition books, and perform dance-centered scenes. The course culminates in a thesis project centered on a role the student envisions studying and performing. It is open to MT BA students by audition.
