Catalog description

Grounded in the learning and application of the fundamentals of healthy vocal production, this course develops the skills needed to use the speaking voice as a powerful instrument in acting, storytelling, and performance across various platforms and genres. Various vocal techniques and exercises will root the actor's work in the exploration of somatic awareness, breath, free and flexible sound, resonance, range, articulation, and vocal clarity. Students will develop their vocal ability while also addressing the physical, emotional, and psychological elements that influence vocal expression.
