Catalog description

In this course, students will explore the world of children's book illustration by studying the work of renowned illustrators, examining their techniques, sources of inspiration, and artistic influences. Through lectures, readings, creative exercises, and projects, students will experiment with and develop their own unique graphic and illustrative styles. Emphasis will be placed on the practical application of children's book illustration, focusing on the skills and strategies needed to navigate the contemporary publishing market. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how to create engaging, visually captivating work that resonates with young audiences.
