Catalog description

In this course, we explore the social, economic, technological, and political forces that made Chicago. We study the indigenous peoples who populated the area and the immigrants and migrants who built the "city of neighborhoods"?we know today. You'll work with a range of materials like digital archives, first-hand accounts, oral histories, and memoirs to uncover the voices and events that shaped Chicago into the city it is today.
