Catalog description

This course gives arts, entertainment, and media students a plain-English, hands-on introduction to AI and ML for real creative-industry work-marketing, audience research, content operations, and decision support. Students will learn what today's AI does well (and poorly), design safe AI-assisted workflows, and evaluate impact with simple metrics. Students will assess prompting patterns, evidence-based decision making, and responsible use of AI (IP, privacy, bias). Though no coding is required, optional "stretch" activities are provided for those who want to try code or data tools. The course culminates in an AI Business Case and Rollout Plan for a client brief or your own creative/venture concept.
