Catalog description

Designed to give students an interdisciplinary experience, this course will explore historical and contemporary theories and practices of medicine, examining in parallel ancient, modern, non-Western, and Western views of health, disease, and healing. The course also examines the manifestation of magic, science, and belief in various human activities and states. Pre-requisites: senior standing or permission of instructor.
