Catalog description

This course is the second of three sequential courses that prepare advanced practice nursing students with biblical, theoretical, scientific, and technical foundations required in the care of adult-gerontology patients in an acute care nurse practitioner role. Students will continue to learn and apply knowledge of diagnosis and management of patients with acute and complex health pathologies within an interdisciplinary environment. Students are required to complete 200 hours of direct clinical care under the supervision of qualified clinical preceptors and School of Nursing faculty. Prerequisite: NSG-6600 Acute Care Concepts and Practice I. (Fee: $1000)
