Catalog description

This course explores common physiological imbalances in infants, children, and adolescents, emphasizing the nursing care needed to restore or promote holistic health - physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual. Students will apply growth and developmental theories to deliver age-appropriate care tailored to the pediatric population. Throughout the course, students will progressively develop independence in their professional nursing roles, focusing on providing and coordinating comprehensive care for young patients. Prerequisite: Junior nursing major status. (Fee: $300)
