Catalog description
This course is the first of two components (LING-4210, LING-4220) of the capstone experience for the major in linguistics. In these courses, students will acquire skills for conducting research in linguistics and will put into practice the theories and concepts learned while completing independent research in the field. This course focuses on the research and design of the study. Prerequisites: LING-2070 Introduction to Linguistics, LING-3080 Linguistics for Language Learning, LING-3082 Phonetics, LING-3090 Sociolinguistics, LING-3100 Principles of Language Acquisition.
