Catalog description

Introduction to the analysis and design of analog feedback control systems with emphasis on modeling, transfer functions, root locus, frequency response, Bode plots, Nyquist Criterion, stability, compensator design for performance and robustness, PID, phase-lead, phase-lag, lead-lag, and performance indices. Three lectures and one two-hour laboratory or recitation per week. Design project required. Prerequisite: EGEE-3110 Linear systems.
