Catalog description

MLS/CLS Essentials is designed to provide MLS and CLS students with an understanding of skills needed to be successful in the classes taken by MLS/CLS students. The lectures and exercises will focus on strengthening reading, note-taking, outlining, listening, exam preparation, and time management skills with weekly reinforcement exercises. The course will build skills for reading and understanding judicial decisions and class lectures, and how to use both for outlines and exam preparation. The course also offers material to help students become self-directed learners. By the close of the course, students will be better equipped to succeed and excel in the rest of the UC Law SF curriculum. This course is restricted to MLS and CLS students only.
