Catalog description

This course explores (1) the theory and practice of clinical supervision; and (2) the theory and practice of professional consultation in multi-disciplinary settings. It introduces students to a broad range of supervision models with extended coverage of the relational/psychodynamic model. In addition to discussion of assigned readings and supervisory experiences to-date, students will participate in live roleplay activities, produce reflective and scholarly writing on the course concepts, and apply those concepts to fictional supervisory sessions (as depicted in podcasts and film clips).
