Comprehensive Examination

Catalog description

The Core PCC Comprehensive Examination is intended for doctoral students in good standing with the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness (PCC) program and is to be completed in one semester. Prerequisites for registering for this course are completion of all coursework (exceptions may be granted with permission of the program chair). This first comprehensive examination assesses mastery of key texts and core concepts for the PCC program. The Core Comprehensive Exam consists of an essay of approximately 7,000-8,000 words drawing from the PCC Core Bibliography. With the recommendation of the student's faculty mentor and the PCC chair, a student may opt for an oral comprehensive exam as an alternative to the written exam. RESTRICTDED TO PCC AND ESR STUDENTS
