Catalog description
This interdisciplinary seminar takes a contemporary topic, concept, issue or theme and asks students to reflect on it through mulitiple disciplines and artistic exploration. Students meet in a required 3-4 day residency, drawing on interdisciplinary perspectives and practices, visits to art sites or events, and workshops with guest artists to launch the artmaking process. They will prepare short refective writing and develop individual and/or group art projects. Work generated in this seminar may also be presented to the public. A residential fee applies for enrollment for the course. Note: Current residential fees are listed on the CIIS website. RESTRICTED TO MFA AND EWP STUDENTS
