Catalog description
This course studies theories and approaches in child therapy and explores techniques and intervention strategies to treat a variety of psychological conditions in children and adolescents. It covers the treatment of child relationships, trauma and abuse assessment and reporting, ethical considerations, dysfunctions, and healthy functioning. Additionally, this course addresses the family and the intrapsychic world and the development of the self of the child in the context of social, cultural, spiritual, and economic factors. RESTRICTED TO COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS; NOT OPEN TO ICP WEEKEND PROGRAM STUDENTS; NOT OPEN TO SOM PROGRAM STUDENTS
