Catalog description

This course will provide a framework for working with clients of diverse genders in a way that is client-centered, explorative, and strength-based. Topics will include current research and best practices for working with Trans and Gender Non-Conforming (GNC) children, adolescents and adults according to the latest WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) standards of care and the APA, including guidelines for writing support letters for clients seeking gender-affirming medical care. In addition, the course will offer some clinical guidance on working with clients who are both trans/gnc and autistic. PRIORITY REGISTRATION FOR ICP & ICPW STUDENTS.
